Our Laser Specialists
Arlene Dow, RN, BSN Arlene has been a registered nurse for 26 years. She graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Nursing in 1981. She worked on a medical surgical floor for several years before advancing to critical care nursing. Arlene worked as a surgical intensive care nurse for over 8 years refining her skills in critical care medicine. Over the years, she has worked as an intensive care nurse at Bexar County Hospital in San Antonio, TX, Oklahoma Memorial Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK and Providence Memorial Hospital in El Paso, TX. Arlene became interested in medical aesthetics and in early 2006 she completed her laser training under an approved Cynosure medical instructor. She also received training in medical microdermabrasion and currently serves as an RN certified Cynosure laser specialist.
Rachel Saavedra, RN, BSN, LMT Rachel received her training as a licensed massage therapist in 1998. She then completed her college education at New Mexico State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2003. She was then accepted into the New Mexico State University nursing program in 2003 and received her nursing degree in 2005. From there, Rachel joined the critical care staff at Memorial Medical Center Hospital where she has worked as a critical care nurse since graduation. Rachel showed an interest in medical aesthetics and joined our staff in 2006. She completed her training as a laser specialist in house and has received laser certification by Cynosure. Rachel has also been trained in medical microdermabrasion and currently serves as an RN certified Cynosure laser specialist. Additionally, she maintains an active practice as a licensed massage therapist. We are delighted to have Rachel on our staff.
